Flow Creative Advert
A constructed 2D animated advertisement inspired by the Manchester, UK design studio Flow Creative.
Storyboard
To begin, I started by constructing a storyboard in order to get a clear and concise idea of each scene and what it might contain. This would also help me figure out what camera views I may want to replicate.
After researching the company thoroughly I decided the best way to represent them was to create an animated explainer style video. Keeping their company slogan and values in mind I set to work rough sketching out what I could.

Illustration Assets
Constructing the illustrations was the most important part of this animation as I wanted to follow a simplistic route while also keeping the assets eye catching and full of colour. I used many reference images in order to vector each asset and created multiple variations of each but ultimately I decided to stick with the originals as they came out the best.

Animatic
I set to work designing an animatic so that I had a solid design for each scene before animating them. Each scene was thought out carefully with colour theory and matching typography in mind. For the title scene it made sense to keep the logo white and have a contrasting background that would change throughout each scene.
The animatic also allowed me to time my scenes in a more efficient way so that the music and sound effects in the final composition would match up nicely.
Animation Process
Once I finished the design phase of the animation I moved onto animating the text and assets I vectored. I wanted the text to feel active so I used wiggle effects to help make the type feel less static.
